Group Presentation
This is my part of what I had originally planned to contribute to the project's pre-production phase as well as my intent with production. Unfortunately, none of the envisionings that I had came to fruition in production, however, the majority of my pre-production work did go ahead.
The intent here was to not recreate the scene but to reinterpret it. My plan was to adapt the scene from words instead of watching a scene and basing it on that. The idea behind doing it this way came from my personal distaste of movies and not having seen John Wick before. However, I didn't want to completely divulge from the original source material, as the second point says. In my eyes, it's about familiarity mixed with distinction to create that perfect blend of originality. I am also a big believer in the concept that not every idea has been created and there is still room for new innovation, which is exactly the idea that I had within my head from start to finish.
The next one comes from my personal preference of how I like to create videos, more from a directorial standpoint than a producer. All my life I have grown up in a household which (for the most part) adhered to the BBFC age guidelines very strictly. This meant that I missed out on watching a lot of these more adult shows and movies that others may find nostalgic or find inspiration from, and this scene makes sense with its rating of 15 to include 15 elements, yet as someone who grew up, more so around PG and 12 content, I wanted to try and see if there was a way we could lower John Wick down to a 12, just to appeal to more of a mass market and make the shoot less complicated that I suspected it could have been.
"Collaborative for ideas and different minds" meaning I wanted everybody to provide valuable and progressive input into a joint idea and venture, with Adam and the helm of the decision-making as the director. I knew that there would be some less constructive suggestions, everybody comes up with ideas that will end up not quite on the mark but as long as input was equal it would work well. This leads to the next point, each idea would be experimental, if things were to go wrong, the idea would have been to go with it and blame it on the "experimental" aspect of the shoot. Unfortunately, I let the stress get the best of me in the end, but that is what I wanted to accomplish initially.

My preproduction elements, though ended up being more minimal than planned, were still beneficial to the majority of the groups working. Whilst casting ended up being handled by Kimberley, the shared OneDrive and Planning Sheet were both used to great effect. This planning sheet is something I use for every piece of work and has done nothing but be successful for me since day one. The basis of it is that everyone knows who is doing what and when each task is completed, a joint venture of time management, workload equality and group understanding.
I also opened up my OneDrive so all files could be shared at anyone's request or goodwill, this allowed for a collaborative space where additional information could be shared freely, with the addition of getting answers to questions without disturbing the people who have this information. Also when it comes to these bloggers it is easier to grab screenshots and relevant resources at a moment's notice.
